The Dial 1556 kit is a critical component for high-maintenance cooling systems. While most coolers come with plastic drains, the metal components in this kit are built to withstand the constant moisture and chemical exposure found in swamp cooler pans.
The kit’s primary function is two-fold: the overflow pipe ensures that if your float valve fails, the excess water is safely diverted down the drain rather than spilling over the sides of the pan. The purge pump adapter allows you to connect a “Power-Clean” system, which automatically replaces a portion of the water every few hours to prevent mineral scale and algae buildup, significantly extending the life of your cooler pads.
