The F273699 Universal Filter is specifically engineered to handle the “heavy ends” (oils and plasticizers) that can leach out of rubber propane hoses under pressure. These contaminants are a leading cause of pilot light failure and regulator clogs in Buddy series heaters.
Constructed with durable brass and aluminum fittings, this filter is a “Type 1” mechanical part that screws directly into the heater’s swivel connector. It is highly recommended whenever you are using a bulk cylinder setup with F273701 or F273702 hoses. Lightweight and easy to install by hand, it provides peace of mind for campers, hunters, and those using propane heat for emergency backup.
